Our Heritage
When Design By Us first began, we created a lamp that captured both playfulness and timelessness in a single object. That lamp was the Vintage Lamp — and to this day, it remains a defining piece in our collection.
For founder and owner Rasmus Larsson, the Vintage Lamp has always held a special place. “It is my all-time favorite. It has been with us from the very beginning and stands as a true signature piece in our collection — remaining both unique and timeless,” he says.
Handmade in Copenhagen
The lamps are assembled in Copenhagen, where we also handcraft the shades. Keeping production close to home is not just about quality control. It is about honoring craftsmanship, slowing down the process, and fulfilling our customers’ wishes in the best possible way. Each stitch, each fold, each assembly step is an act of care — a dedication to creating objects that are meant to last.
