A New Interpretation of the Classic Spotlight
The new Miss Marble spotlight was developed with a desire to rethink the classic spotlight and give one of lighting’s most functional elements a more sculptural and architectural character. The result is a compact ceiling light where natural marble, precise forms, and a warm, downward-facing light come together in a simple, refined expression. Miss Marble is small in scale, yet distinctive in character. The cylindrical marble shade gives the lamp a natural sense of weight, while the base adds a precise and contemporary contrast. Together, the materials create a calm balance that makes the lamp just as interesting when the light is off as when it is on.
From Functional Spotlight to Architectural Statement
The starting point for Miss Marble was an ambition to look at the traditional ceiling spotlight with fresh eyes. Over the past year, we have worked to develop a lamp where functionality does not have to stand in contrast to decorative value. The light is cast downwards in a warm and concentrated beam, making it ideal for creating atmosphere, highlighting architectural details, or providing functional light in spaces such as kitchens, hallways, or bedrooms. Used on its own, Miss Marble becomes a subtle statement.
From Sketch to Stone
Natural stone brings a depth and variation that industrial materials cannot replicate. The veining differs from shade to shade, while the surface changes character depending on the light, angle, and surroundings. In this way, every Miss Marble becomes a small, individual piece of architecture. The collection launches with twelve carefully selected combinations of marble and bases, allowing the lamp to complement a variety of materials and interiors. What they all share is the ambition to create a spotlight that feels both contemporary and timeless. Miss Marble is therefore not simply another lamp added to the collection. It is the result of a desire to make something familiar more interesting - to take a functional lighting element and give it materiality, character, and a stronger presence. From sketch to stone.
