A PLAYGROUND FOR DESIGNERS
Design by Us was established in 1999 by Rasmus Larsson as a playground for bold ideas and unconventional design. We are all about challenging your perception of design turning the obvious upside down and twist it.
Our passion for light and design has always been the force behind our work. From humble beginnings, we have grown into a brand celebrated for merging aesthetics with functionality, crafting pieces that illuminate, inspire, and captivate.
DANISH DESIGN STUDIOS
All our pieces are designed in-house at our Copenhagen office. Some pieces are produced in-house, while others are sourced from carefully selected partners – but every design carries our Danish DNA and is guided by our designers’ vision from start to finish.
We don’t chase trends. We cultivate ideas, explore materials, and invest time in development.
Guided by our “more is more” philosophy, we embrace bold ideas, unconventional forms, and daring use of color. At the core of our work lies a commitment to craftsmanship, reflected in a selection that celebrates quality and pioneering design.

COPENHAGEN NORDVEST: HOME OF OUR DESIGN STUDIO
Our showroom and office is located in Copenhagen’s vibrant Nordvest district, where history, creativity, and modern urban life converge. Once dominated by factories and workshops, the area has transformed over the past 15 years into a thriving hub for designers, galleries, cafés, and creative businesses.
Nordvest’s cultural diversity, rich architectural heritage, and authentic character make it an inspiring destination for design and innovation. For us, it is more than a workplace — it is a constant source of inspiration and the vibrant heart of Copenhagen’s creative energy.
